The Ultimate Drink Stop

It's no lie. We didn't have Sonic in Eugene, but I always saw their yummy commercials and longed for one of their ice cold drinks. Today my wish came true. Easton wasn't having the best of days today...super whiney and grouchy; so we left the house on numerous occasions, and I even resorted to asking dad to come home early and help me out. He's very into his studying, so I hated to do it, but he was nice about it. So, Easton and I went for a long walk outside in the wicked hot weather because he loves the stroller and it was a half hour of peace for me...plus I was able to make a couple of phone calls to some friends, so that was nice. Anyway, I was SO freaking hot when I got home because there is NO shade up in this joint (the area around where we live), so Steve's sister and I took off to find something cold to drink. I had noticed a Sonic down the road earlier today, so that's where we went. I now feel so much better having this huge cup of freezing cold strawberry yumminess!

Has anyone ever used yummy and Sonic in the same sentence before? Is Sonic good, or am I just biased because of their ridiculously stupid commercials?

Okay so I don't remember their stupid commercials but I just ate at my first Sonic joint in Grants Pass this weekend and I wasn't impressed. I don't know what all the hubbub is all about. It tasted like a GROSS McDonald's burger (same nasty cheese), only it was a bit larger. And what's this about not having tables inside? That makes it double stupid! But I am also anti fast food so take this how you will.

Okay you guys totally missed the point of my blog...honestly. Did I say ANYTHING about their food? No...just their drinks! I keep my fast food consumption to a minimum...especially fast food burgers (yuck). But their DRINKS are deliciously satisfying!

I haven't seen a commercial about Sonic's food, I was talking about that stupid guy who makes stupid jokes (in the drive thru) in the drink commercials.

Funny you should blog about Sonic's drinks. When we were driving through Coeur d'Alene, Dan got excited at the sight of a Sonic. He also likes their cold drinks. I guess they have some kind of power drink concoction that he looks forward to consuming.

If it makes you feel any better, it is hot here in Oregon too. Probably not as hot as Boise though. Good luck!

Man I get so ticked when I see Sonic commercials here in Eugene! They torture me with the advertising of their delicious beverages which I cannot partake of since there is NO sonic in this town! Same thing goes for those TGI Friday commercials.

Okay, so after making that comment, I realized that I commented only on their food and not on their drinks. Maybe I need to try one since that seems all they advertise for. And Em, I'll take your word on them being awesome! This weekend while in Portland, I'll keep my eye out for a Sonic.

Sonic is my favorite drink spot! I'm so jealous! And, I think their commercials are sorta funny (Steve). Plus, you definately go to Sonic for the drinks. And, to whoever was looking for one in Portland...they just built one up in Hillsboro.

Steve, Sonic's commercials are indeed the dumbest things ever. Not funny. But their food IS good - especially the sourdough melt bacon cheeseburger things on texas toast. I guess I missed the point about their drinks, though - I didn't know they had any special drinks.
