Pumpkin Patch!

I have been a little bit worried all month about the pumpkin patch situation here in LV. Coming from a place where there are orchards and farms everywhere...to a place where I'm not even sure if things grow, was a total shock. Don't get me wrong, I really like it here, but I went to the pumpkin patch ever year of my life, and I want Easton to have the same experience, because I love it so much! I was so glad to hear from a counselor in our relief society about this:
A girl in our ward (her daughter)put together this little pumpkin patch and it was too cute. I think she was about 13 years old, and she grew the pumpkins and helped the little kids pick them out, and made a little area to take pictures. Then inside their garage she had tables set up for pumpkin carving, cookie decorating and coloring. It was so cute and perfect for the kids. We went with Christi and Reagan, and Katie and Paige. The weather was perfect and I think we got some good pictures.

Is that really Page? I haven't seen her in so long! She is so big! P.S. A 13 year-old-girl grew those pumpkins?!?

It looks like that was so fun! I'm sorry we missed it. I'm glad they had a good turn out. Cute pics, too! We never visited a pumpkin patch growing up, and the ward visit to Gilcrease Orchard was...disappointing, since there were only two pumpkins left in the entire field. Looks like you guys had a great time at Carlsons, though!

That is the cleverest project ever....have your own pumpkin patch? She's a smart cookie....I love the picture vignettes too, the red bench and ivy. I hope you picked a pumpkin for yourself too...you should post them once they're carved...have fun de-gooking the pumpkins!

Darn it! I so wish I could have come...stupid family being in town. It looks like you had good times and got great pics. The kiddos all look so cute. You and E look like twins in that pic together. I love it!

So adorable! It's awesome that you can still uphold your family tradition even in sin city. All the kids look so happy -especially you. So what are you going to do for Christmas? I hope you don't normally cut your own tree.

SUCH cute pictures! I love that you and Easton are kind of matching. It's funny, I don't know that I've ever been to a pumpkin patch...ever. I've seen many pictures, but I can't remember for the life of me ever being to one. Weird. Anyway, fun that you guys got to go!

Emily, your little boy is so cute! That's so cool that you were able to go to the pumpkin patch. There are a few here in southern CA believe it or not so we may go as well. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to add your blog to my list so we can keep up to date on your adorable family! And your previous post about not being great at anything?? Whatever! You have the cutest blog EVER! I wish mine was only half as good! Take care!

Awwww.....sweet pics. I've actually never been to a pumpkin patch. I know.....if you don't want to be my friend anymore.....I understand. I'm glad you didn't have to break your life-long pumpkin patch streak. BTW....I used purple food coloring gel by wilton to get Mia's cake purple. Wilton is great. They have every color.

I am bummed that we didn't get a chance to get to Lone Pine or Thistledown when we were in Eugene this week. I love pumpkin patches. There is some place here I can go to but well, it isn't the same.

It must be nice having so many friends to do fun things with. . .

Still not bitter or jealous. But I did get to see baby Drew this weekend. He totally loves me.

Of course baby Drew loves you! Yes, I'm jealous of that...rub it in Ilene.

Why don't you just get your butt down here and visit us?!

K..you do not know me but I was looking at blogs of my friends to see if I knew any of them and I saw you had a picture of Paige Wayment. I used to be one of the nursery leaders so it was weird to see her on your page. I found you because I am friend's with Stephanie McKinley who is friends with Lindsey (Trout)...I do not know her new last name. Her family grew up in my stake until they moved to Ohio...just thought I'd tell ya.
