Kicked Off the Carousel

A friend told me about something fun they do here at the outlet mall. The same outlet mall I was almost attacked at. On Wednesdays they have story time and this lady from the library comes and reads stories and sings fun songs. She can actually be a little mean sometimes, yelling at the kids to sit down, which I think is so funny. Anyway, after story time the kids get to ride the carousel for free. It's a fun little activity to do when it's not the best park weather.

This time I was brave and brought 2 kids with me, Easton, and the little girl that I watch. Both of the kids were so good, I just was having a hard time figuring out how I could ride with Easton on the carousel. We had some friends there who were willing to take him, but he's still slightly scared of it, so I didn't think he would go without me. So I thought I'd just haul both kids on there and we'd all go...I have to get used to juggling 2 kids someday right? Someday a long time from now, mom. Anyway, so we get all situated and are ready to roll, when one of the workers informed me that they don't allow car seats on the carousel. I wasn't really mad, because I can understand that rule. I was just bugged because she watched me carry her on there, why didn't she say something before...by the time we got all situated I was totally sweating bullets.

This is before we get kicked off, so ready for a good ride. The other picture is of Easton's buddies getting excited for their turn.

The thought of getting up right away kind of made me want to faint. I don't know how you guys with 2 plus kids do it! She suggested that I take the baby out and hold her on my lap. That didn't seem like the best idea to me, so we all just got off and waved at our friends as they went around and around. I was a little bummed that Easton didn't get to ride the "horsie", but he didn't seem too crushed, and I was just happy that both kids were so well behaved. So we had story time, sat on the carousel for 2 minutes and called it good.

So to make up for him getting the shaft on the carousel, we went to the park today so he could play outside. He isn't the best park player, but he's leaning. My favorite is how he goes down the slide. He does it backward and turns around like 5 feet before the slide. I keep trying to get a video, but I never can.
It cracks me up every time.

I love that he turns around 5 feet before the actual slide begins. That is exactly how Ben goes down the stairs. Those cautious boys.

I like how you put in you're not having a second baby yet. I would think it'd be some real temptation living around all those pregnant and new mommies. Don't you want a second one even just a tiny bit? Kidding!

I will be answering that one for Emily. NO.

I was so sad that you got kicked off. But I took your place on the bench since Emery wasn't quite ready for riding the horse. You are brave woman to be going out with the 2. I can't wait until that is my life.

Sorry you didn't get to go on the "horsie" next time we will make sure Easton gets a turn!!!
I love that picture of him at the park. His smile when he comes down the slide is the best!!

I think you should have given that lady a piece of your mind! I know deep down inside you wanted to, admit it.

For those of us so far away, you can't tease us with the image of Easton and the slide and then not deliver with a video! That should be your number one priority for the weekend. We'll all be expecting it.

Yeah you are brave Em! I can barely take Drew to the grocery store. I mean even when he is a good boy it can still get stressful. I just need to chill I guess!

And the nerve of that woman kicking you off the carousel! Whatever! Why in the world wouldn't a carseat be safe on there? It's not like the thing goes around super fast does it? Lame!

Yah Em...who new that you would have to lift weights to keep up with all this kiddo stuff...I am such a wimp! I am sure you are doing just great! By the way...Easton is soooo adorable, he looks like such a grown up boy!

Your such a trouble maker!!

That is hilarious and must have been a little humiliating. I would be so embarrassed. Oh well, you handled it all like a trooper and sounds like the kids did too!

By the way, you HAVE to have more kids (when you're good adn ready).....Easton really is one of the best looking little boys I've ever seen. Seriously. :)

I can't believe they kicked you off for a carseat. Seriously, Emily, why do you have to stir up trouble everywhere you go?

That's so lame that they would kick you off like that. I probably would have just got off like you but Danny totally would have made a big stink about it.

Anyway, you'll totally have to have more kids someday...but honestly, don't rush it if you're not ready. Having three kids right after another wasn't too bad when I had my mom and Danny's mom a few minutes away. It's different if you don't have a lot of family around to help. We're not planning on having anymore for awhile...at least until a couple of them get into school!

I had my hopes up there for a moment, a very short moment, until you set me straight. Easton is looking like such a big boy, I can't wait to see him again. Sounds like fun at story time and the park you better go out a lot before it gets too hot again.
love you all!

Bummer, dude! That's so tricky, taking two kids out so young. Way to go. I'm glad you didn't have to deal with Easton throwing a fit because he wanted to ride.

Oh, and by the way, I think Michael is the spy on the boat too. I can't think of anyone else we'd know either, unless they bring someone back from the dead. Charlie? Ana Lucia? Ben did just reference her in the last episode with Goodwin. I can't wait!

Emily- Why are you so stinkin funny! I love to check your blog. So what is a BUNKO girl? I accidentally ended up on that webpage trying to find THIS webpage. Sorry, maybe I should have checked the PAMPHLET on how to be a blogger.

When you have more than one kid, you just don't take your kids to do anything fun; period (remember my Christmas Cruise post?).

Good thing I am expecting our third.
