Come Back!

My parents were able to come back to town for another quick (emphasis on quick) visit. I was SO thankful they could come, but wish they could stay longer!!! We tried to squeeze in as much fun time as we could, though. Here are the highlights and pics:

It was my dad's birthday on Friday, so we had some surprises for him. The first was that I actually allowed a chocolate cake in my house. The second was that my sister flew in from Rexburg to hang out, and he had no idea. The third is that my mom got us tickets to go see Elvis!! My dad is a big Elvis fan, and our whole family has grown to love him too. My dad's claim to fame is that he was in the Army with Elvis, and my parents both saw the real deal in concert. We were so excited!
This is outside the theater where Elvis was...check out Jenni's shirt. It was just too perfect. It reminded me of our old red vw van we had growing up.And this is Elvis...best show ever. Our family was for sure the youngest in the audience, and also the only ones dancing. Jenni and I were probably majorly bugging the people behind us, and Steve may have been a little embarrassed to be with us too. But it was so jammin' and we couldn't help but dance! We had never seen the real Elvis, obviously, but my parents had and thought this guy was a pretty good impersonator. All around it was a great show and awesome day. Happy Birthday Dad!
Back to Red Rock Canyon. We did the same little hike and the "waterfall" was still there and it was a beautiful day. Notice the water drops in the pic...that's Las Vegas' idea of waterfall. My parents weren't very impressed, the waterfalls in Oregon are a little more substantial.

Love this pic of my parents. They were also able to get in a lot of Easton time, which I'm glad about. It was such a fun weekend, thanks for everything and thanks for coming!!!!

Ohhh! That was so fun! Your pictures are better than mine, I love them. We did fit a lot into one week end. Thanks so much for the great time!!! We were just saying wish we could take a walk to the park with Easton today to watch the trains.

I just love when visitors come. It looks like you had a great time and grandparents are the best kind of visitors for Easton!

Im glad you had so much fun with your parents, and mine never stay long enough either! There's always way too much to do and not enough time to do it all. You're so lucky to have your sister here all week and then to be leaving again this weekend! When are we going to have time to go back to Red Rock and discover some new trails? Nathan misses his buddy!

What a great time! Sounds like you are the most popular people in Las Vegas, a visitor every few days it seems like. Oh well, that's what you get when you have such a cute son. Glad you had some fun with your parents!

Love the picture of Elvis, I too listen to him when I was growing up. Never got to see him, babysat for my aunt so that she could go, I was still too young and impressionable.

Have a great day

Wow, what a fun weekend! I like Elvis music too, sometimes. But Lara got me all into those silly Elvis movies from back in the day, I have to admit, some of those songs are really catchy and hard to get out of your head! I haven't watched one in years though so maybe its time to bust them out again. Love it.

Your parents are so cute. How fun to surprise your dad for his birthday. I bet he just loved it! And I can't imagine going to a concert with family and not singing and dancing. How boring of everyone else to just sit there!

I agree with Lizzy - you guys were obviously the only cool ones in that audience! I mean who can sit during jailhouse rock or the likes? Come on people!

I loved seeing you this weekend too! :)

The truth is Carly is good. But she is just not my favorite on AI. And, the tattoos bug me. But, we can still be friends, right?!

It looks like you guys had tons of fun. I'd have to say that my parents would have enjoyed the Elvis show.....but I'm not sure I would have. Sorry. I'm glad you guys loved it though. I am so amazed at how much all you Jolley kids don't look alike. Am I weird to think that? Maybe I would have to see all of you at the same time together and in person.

Yes Margaret we're still friends! And Diane, you are the first person I've ever heard say that...how funny!

Your dad was in the army with Elvis? I had to laugh because if I was at that concert I would have totally been with you in the back making a fool of myself. And, Derek would have been up with Steve embarrassed to be married to me.
