Planet Earth

Right now this is my current obsession. I am in love with this series. It is consuming my thoughts most of the day, I can't think about anything else but how awesome our planet is! I got this for Steve for his birthday, hoping he would be as excited about it as I am (one of those gifts that is a bonus for you as well as for them). He was and we have been watching it like crazy since the Olympics (our previous obsession) ended. Every single episode is fascinating and it just makes me appreciate our earth so much. I encourage everyone to watch it!

I've seen bits of this and it really is amazing. I might just have to watch more.

I agree- Planet Earth is really cool. Glad you're enjoying Steve's birthday present as much as he is. I am using Chris' birthday presents to take myself to Sea World- ha ha!

Oh I KNOW! It is the best! Have you seen Blue Planet by the BBC. It's all about ocean life and it's amazing too! We own the both because they are SO good.

I am with you in this obsession! John and I got it for Christmas from my parents, and we watched it every single night almost until he left in February. Every single part is fantastic, and so well done...and what is it with British people's voices, it's crazy but we talked about how much more we trust this voice telling us about our planet more so than if the guy narrating was american. Funny. I bet Easton loves it too, William and Lily love it! However, I have to say there's a part in the caves episode that grosses me out, when the guys are suited up so that cockroaches won't get into their britches, and the climb the biggest bat dung heap in the world...YUCK!!! But the rest is incredible. I love Blue Planet too. Sweet obsession, and so uplifting I think!
Love ya

I love giving gifts that you end up benefitting from too. Good job on that one. I guess I'll have to think about that. I've heard the same amazing things from everyone that's watched it, but we've still never seen it!

I guess I need to borrow it form LeAnn and start watching, now that Summer is drawing to a close, I may sit to watch a little TV. Glad you are enjoying it so much and feeling grateful for the miracle of the earth. I felt that way in Beaver looking at the night sky. GO DUCKS!!

Kiss Easton!

I keep putting off watching it- I almost bought it at Costco, but bought 20 pounds of gummi bears instead. Guess I'll have to go back to Costco.

The footage of the lions taking out that elephant is just amazing! Sad kind of, but amazing. I got it for Danny for his birthday last year and we love it too. Oh and the sharks that jump entirely out of the water?!?! Are you kidding me? So rad.

Am I the only loser who tried to watch this and fell asleep? What does that say about me, Emily? I'm shallow, aren't I?
