Denial

Even though it's still in the upper 90's here, people keep saying that summer is coming to an end. Kids have gone back to school, and our play group has seriously diminished in numbers. There used to be 20 or more of us at the pool each week, and now maybe there is 3 or 4 of us. Sad. This summer was definitely one of the most fun I have ever had. Jam packed with good times, and lots of trips and visitors. I'm sad to see it end, so here are some random summer pics that I never got around to posting. There are a lot.

Easton and Emery when we went to see baby Sage in the hospital...the first time.

It was so fun to see my good friends in Oregon even if it was just for a minute. Brynne (above) and her cute little Cade came swimming with us, and Brenley(below) came to a bbq with our fam. I was so excited to finally be able to meet little McCoy who Brenley and her husband adopted last December. He's adorable!! I'm so happy for them.

2 of my favorite siblings (okay they are all my favorite!) Marc and Jenni. I think they are are so cute.
This is adorable Claire. She has been so much fun this summer. She's exactly one year younger than Easton, so it has been fun for me to watch her learn the same things at the same time he did. Easton and I adore her and she makes life easier for me by entertaining him.
This is my desktop picture.

Easton's first popcicle.

Labor Day weekend. Mt. Charlston was super cool (as in not hot) and we had a fun picnic with friends.
More Claire, because I can't seem to resist taking her picture. I mean, look at that face.

Easton and the girls at the park. This picture just kills me. I love seeing these kids play together. I can't believe how grown up they are getting. This pic represents a lot of why this summer was so fun for me...watching these kids grow and play and learn; they are so cute and I just love all of Easton's little friends. And their moms too!

Happy Fall!

Yeah, summer is coming to a close everywher. Our pools are closing down and everyone is back in school. Sorry your play group is so small but be happy you have one! :) I love those pics, the one of me is not so good, but everything else is cute. Especially the one of your little family on Labor Day on teh blanket!

Woohoo! Emery made this post twice. We love playing with you guys every day. It sure was a fun summer and I am sad to see it end. But fall has some fun times ahead and then the holidays - so don't fret too much.

Cute post! So glad to see a new one. I was beginning to think that you forgot us all. That is all of us who check your blog EVERYDAY, to see what new and exciting things are happening in your lives.

I love fall, to bad it seems to be one of the shortest seasons. Winter comes all too fast!

Have a great day.....thanks for the update.

Love ya

You can still be in denial that summer is coming to an end, but I will celebrate! We can still have fun times when it's not 115 degrees!! You might get me out of the house more so Nathan and Easton can play more- since we didn't make your awesome end of the summer post! Good recap though. Glad you had a blast this summer.

How fun. I bet it was nice being able to spend so much time with friends and family. I need to find a play group for when Addison is bigger, so I don't just sit at home alone everyday. It is lonely. Sorry your summer is ending. Just think Christmas is right around the corner and that is always a fun thing for kids! (or adults!!!)

It is sad to see summer come to an end... but I LOVE fall!! At least in Oregon, it is one of my favorite seasons. I love all of the fall colors and trips to the farm for apples and pumpkins. And kids and pumpkins make GREAT pictures!
I'm glad you had such a fun summer - nice pictures and nice recap.

It does seem like summer ended quickly! Where does the time go?

Enquiring minds want to know if you watched Fringe? I was a little freaked out at the beginning but it's a hit in my book now.

Yea Meg, we are Fringe fans now too. I had no interest in watching it, but Steve made me and now I'm totally hooked!

Em~ Cute blog! I love all those pictures. Easton is so dang cute. Hey, I'm coming down to Vegas on the 26th-28th with one of my old roommates. I think Ethan might be coming with me. I definitly want to see you when I'm there, or maybe we could even stay with you so we don't burden my roommates parents with to many people. Let me know!

There is no way your visitors will be dwindling. You live in Vegas; they'll be doubling! But I guess even when you live in the super hot desert, it's still sad to see summer end. Summer did go by too fast this year.

Such cute pictures, it is amazing how those little kids have grown so fast. I can't believe Easton will be two tomorrow. I was just looking at some baby pictures the other day thinking how fast that went by.

We are still having some nice days and I'm loving them, Fall is great though. Are there any leaves to turn colors in Vegas? I don't remember hearing about that.

Isn't it the most fun to watch your kid eat a popsicle? Those great summer pleasures.

Yay, the hell of summer is finally over. I can't believe I get excited for 90 degrees but it seriously feels so cool to me now!

Cute pics.

Hey, I think my friend, Shonda, took pictures of your friend and her son on adoption day.

Am I right?

I think Thomas has those same camo shorts as Easton. Our kids are so cool.

I want my babies to get pictured with yours. I feel so out of it.

Yes, I am making a comment :) So happy to see a shout out to Claire on the blog - yay!! I think our first really true day of Fall is around Halloween, when we finally cool off a bit. So sit tight, it will get cooler. But I'm sure you'd like it to stay warm... 75 degrees being cold for your house, so not happening at my house :)
