Farmer Brown

Easton has a book called Farmer Brown and it talks about the farm and all the animals there. Well today for play group we were going to a little farm here in town, and Easton was so excited to see 'Farmer Brown' and all the animals. I didn't know that people actually had farms in Las Vegas, but this was a cute little place on your way out of town. They had horses, goats, pigs, donkeys, ducks, chickens...your basic farm animals. Also, dirt, assorted smells, flies, mud, poop...your basic farm atmosphere. The kids had a blast looking at the animals and feeding them carrots, celery or apples. It was a really cute place. Cute as in dirty. But cute.

Easton was done eating his apple and he wanted to give it to the horse, but the horse wasn't paying attention. So he walked around saying, "Here horsie, have a apple...here horsie. Come on horsie." Once we actually got the horse's attention, he was a little too scared and made me do it.

I think farms are fun to visit once in awhile, but man, so much work to take care of all those animals and all that land. I could never do it. Farmers rule. It was fun to let the kids run around and see everything, but the second we got home I took all of our clothes directly to the washing machine and all I want to do now is shower.

I want your life. That's basically all. You are like the most beautiful wife ever, you have a cute baby, you get to play at the farm, you live in a warm place, and you just rock. I envy you.

I'm so glad you went to the farm. Do they have pumpkin patches there? I totally know what you mean about farming... farmers are totally awesome and hard core, but I just don't think we have it in us.

P.S- i'm trying to googlechat you right now, and it's not working. GRRRRR.

Easton is like...the most stylish little boy I've ever seen! Every picture of him is sooo cute. I love his clothes. I agree, by the way- about the farming biz. Fun on the outside, but would never want to be on the inside.

Love the pictures! My has he ever grown since we took him to the pumpkin patch for the first time.

I agree farms are a fun place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. I don't mind getting a little dirty now and then though.

You are a city girl!! A little dirt won't hurt anyone. But, I'm glad you went and had a good time. That's cute that Easton was trying to feed the horsie his apple.

must say, I agree, your little man is SO stylin! And SO cute, and YOU are SUCH a BABE!!! The Farm sounds like fun. Sometimes John decides he wants to live on a farm and survive on our own hard work...i tell him it's a nice idea, but he couldn't have a career and be a farmer. I don't think I'm cut out for it...would if I HAD to, but not by choice you know? Fun experience though, I always think its really cute and healthy for kids to interact with animals, plus it really cracks me up! Love you!

Farms rule!! We pretty much live at the farm. But it is true they are so dirty. The dirtier the kids are the more fun they've been having, right?

Easton looks so big! He's all grown up.

That last picture of him is so cute. I loved that he was carrying around either a football or basketball too!

Ethan loved the farm, too! Last year he was still too little (only about 6 months) but this year he was able to walk around and feed the animals. He loved it! It's definitely a fun thing for them to do. And it makes for great pictures - for example, the ones you posted!!

He is so cute and has grown so much! I hear you about the smells/dirt, we just took Alyssa and Hallie and there were so many flies that she couldn't even tell what the animals were. Needless to say, it was a quick trip!!

Farms don't smell, Las Vegas does.

The farm is the good smell.

Easton is ooo cute! :o) And I totally agree about farmers. I could never spend my day dealing with poop all the time. Oh, wait, I already do that! lol!

That was pretty cute that Easton knew every animal sound there. I also came home and put our clothes in the washer. We were filthy! I guess it doesn't help when your kid wants to lie in the pens with the animals.

I didn't know Uncle J read your blog, thats funny. I just told you this, but your picture taking abilities ROCK!! Farmers are under appreciated. I'm glad you took the time to visit, bad smell and all.

I feel like we are the same person. Farms are fun, animals are cool...yadayadayada...but it is dirty and stinky and I am not cool enough to be a farmer. Love all the pictures and wish we could have gone.

I'm with you. I love farms and think they are great to take kids to and let them enjoy, but the smell and the mess is not for me.
Horray for farmers and their hard work! :)
Cute pictures

Wow, that last pic of Easton is sooooo stinking cute! It looks professional. You should blow it up and put it on your wall.

So cute that he loves Farmer Brown. Farm animals are so fun for kids!

Super cute pictures!!! Sounds like a fun time. I totally agree with the farm comments. I'm glad someone does it but I'm extra glad that its not me!!! Yuck!

Emily, I cannot believe how many comments you get. My life is not more exciting than yours. I can't believe you said that. Just that picture of the horse eating out of your hand is more than I can brave. I've always been afraid they'd accidentally bite my whole hand off. I'm not even kidding.
