DISNEYLAND!

Easton was successful at his first attempt at trick or treating. Just barely though. I had to literally FORCE his costume back on him. He wore it earlier in the night, but by the time trick or treating came around he was done. I took him into the hall kicking and screaming and made him put it back on. It was for his own good. Finally he calmed down and we were able to get him to do it. I had to hold him almost the whole time, but the last few he did on his own. It was pretty cute, and as I have heard so many people say before, Halloween with kids is just the cutest. So, seeing as how he was scared to death to trick or treat at the ward party, I was a little scared about how he would handle disneyland the next day. But he did GREAT!!!
Circus trainer and elephant
We made it to Disneyland on Friday afternoon and went to the rockets in tomorrowland for our first ride. I was so nervous that Easton would be scared and hate it. He's afraid of the carousel. But Steve went with him and he really liked it! There was so much going on and a lot to look at, and he loved it all. He wasn't feeling the greatest, but he still did good. Some people have asked about taking their 2 year olds there and whether or not it would be worth it to take them. I say YES! First of all, they are free, so why not...but also, I had so much fun riding rides with Easton and seeing him excited to see Mickey Mouse and other characters.

My best friend since the 2nd grade is finishing up Med School and was in San Diego for a month. She flew out on the 1st but still made the trek up to disneyland to hang out with us for a few hours. I was so excited! I never get to see her and it just made me so happy! Two pics, because the first one is a sad attempt, but the second one is a little better.

Umm...gross?

That's better.

Drenched after riding Splash Mountain. I didn't remember getting that wet on this ride, but we were soaked...we had to go back to the hotel and change.
Watching the parade
Minnie, Mickey and Goofie!!

California Adventure had a lot of good rides for little kids, and Easton loved them all.

Right before getting on Pirates of the Caribbean. I don't remember it being quite so slow moving. It rocked Easton right to sleep.

We had such a fun time, and if you have the chance to take your little kids, DO IT! And if your husband's employer can pay for your trip, then for SURE do it.

I love your Halloween outfit. You and Easton both look very cute!

How nice to have a trip paid for by Steve's work. Who doesn't love a free vacation?! And Easton looks so happy and excited in all those pictures. I'm glad it was fun!

Oh, and I love your sister's comments. She's so enthusiastic, they're fun to read.

Ok, now I am SUPER excited to go to Disneyland next month - just before Christmas!!! Ethan's not quite two but I want to take him and I think he'll enjoy everything Easton did. I'm glad to hear that everyone had such a fun time. We went to D-land/CA Adventure last year and I, too, had forgotten how wet you get on Splash Mountain! Not nearly as bad as the Grizzly River Run (or whatever it's called) in CA Adventure. We kept getting soaked and then drying out. Anyway... I had no idea that you and Colleen had been friends since 2nd grade - that's great that you got to see her.
And your costumes for Halloween turned out great. :)

Jealous! Looks like so much fun and I am so glad you say it is worth it for 2 yr olds so maybe I can convince Brian. I love the 1st pic of you and your friend because that is so how you feel at Disneyland during the off time. It is exhausting but so much fun.

Oh and you and Easton looked awesome on Halloween. I am proud of you for forcing the fun on him!

Fun fun! I love how photogenic Easton is. Really, all the pics of him are smiling faces! Amazing! You and steve look pretty good too. :)

Maybe I can get Aaron to ask his employer to pay for a Disneyland trip for us. Wait....he is his employer. Hmm....

We'll have to wait a little on that until the money rolls in. Cross your fingers! :)

I'm so excited you guys got to go! Isn't Disneyland on Halloween the best? We were there on Nov. 1 and I was thinking about your little family having a blast there the day before. I looove how they decorate the park for Halloween! :o) Did you get to see the "Turtle Talk with Crush" show? That show's the best. The pictures are all so great!

Oh, and your costumes were truly adorable. :o)

I can't believe you got to see COlleen! i want to! It's been YEARS!!! I mean the last time was probably some Christmas when I did her hair! I'm glad you got to see her. You're costume idea was GREAT!!! You looked awesome! Mustache and all! Man, when is the next time I'm gonna see you?!!! Forever.

Oh bummer! You guys were there on Saturday, too? We were wondering that when we were there. Normally we can't go on Saturdays since our annual passes block them out but we were renewing our passes that day. We wondered if you guys were there that day or not. It would have been fun to see you!

Isn't Disneyland the best!! I'm glad you guys had a great time and that Easton did so well. He is the cutest, especially in his Halloween costume!!

When you come up for Thanksgiving be sure and bring the mustache so we can have the second annual mustache party! What a great duo costume!

I love the pics at Disneyland. You all look like you're having a great time! We were never brave enough to travel 1500 miles and then spend 2 days at Disneyland with 4 small kids. We didn't make our first trip until Steve was going on his mission when he was 19! But we still talk about the good memories!

I love that pic at the end. Easton's smile is to die for! I'm so glad your trip was fun!

Easton is sooo cute in his costume. You too, by the way. Way to get in the spirit!

You and Easton look adorable in your costumes!!! Next Halloween don't be so rude and skip our door when you're out trick or treating, k!?

Oh wow, what a blast! You guys are so adorable! You've inspired us to go next month... so if you feel up to going again let me know. :)

I will try not to cry about the fact that you were 40 miles from my home but I didn't get to see you. :( We Californians have year-round Disneyland passes for a reason. :) Nevertheless, I'm so glad that you had fun! It is one of the greatest places on earth!
