Jam-Packed Boise Weekend 'O' Fun

The purpose of our trip to Boise was to get 2 babies blessed and one 8 year old baptized. That will be a later post, but here's what happened the rest of the weekend. I think I got about 10 hours of sleep total over the 4 nights thanks to my kids, but look at all this fun...who has time for sleeping?!Lots of baby holding took place. Carly and Addie were just too cute to resist.

Of course the pumpkin patch. I was so glad to be able to come here since there is nothing like it in Las Vegas. Easton had so much fun getting lost in the maze and choosing his pumpkin.Lots of game playing. Grandma Rogers loves to play games with the grandkids. Here they are catching bees. Speed scrabble was fun, even though I lost every time. It's my goal in life to beat my dad in scrabble (in any form). And we introduced the Rogers to Slapsies Creepsies. And here are the girls doing a little hoedown throwdown. Somehow nobody's video worked, so all we get is a picture. It was radical though.

Yes, Carly and Addie are less than 2 weeks apart even though Carly towers over her. She's just a tiny little thing, and as I've said before, we make them big. It was so much fun hanging out with family. Thanks everyone for such a fun weekend!!

Whatever, totally showing me up on the real pumpkin patch. Looks like fun. The Ho-down dancing pic is awesome. Wish I could have seen the live thing. And I love Easton's matching Buzz pj's. Looks like way too much fun times.

Cute post! I love the picture of you and Lani holding both girls.

It's funny how you look forward to something like that and then it is just over in the blink of any eye. So worth the long drives, flights, and sleepless nights though right? We slept great and I didn't hear any complaints from Jenni about snoring, maybe she was just being nice.

We appreciate being welcomed into the Rogers family on special occasions, they are all so great.

How fun! I'm in love with Carly's rollie-pollie legs. And Addie looks just like your mom (in that picture at least)! The hoedown throwdown looks like some serious business!

Too fun! Sleep is totally overrated. :)

I just learned speed scrabble this year . . . it has to be the most thrilling game ever. I LOVE IT and now that I understand how to make it "speed" style, my recruitment efforts have definitely improved.

Emily, you can hone your Speed Scrabble skills by playing Speed Scrabble Online :) ... I hope you'll try it out... and, maybe ... beat your father :)

Love it! I want to hold a baby! Such cute girls. Yea for the pumpkin patch and for beating your dad in scrabble. It's my life's goal to beat Darren at it. But I really enjoyed watching your dad beat him last time they were at our house. Can't wait to see those blessing pics after you catch up on your sleep!

I agree with Carol ...you look forward to the weekend for long and then it's over in a flash! How can the waiting take so long and the being together go so fast! I loved every second of our time together. Carly is so beautiful! I loved getting to know her and Easton is just too adorable. I loved the way he was always asking where Ash was!
