The Old Ball Game

Steve and Easton have been playing and watching lots of baseball. They love to go to the 51's games together so Steve got season (well, a 10 game package...it's too hot to go to games after July 4th) tickets this year. Easton loves to go and hang out with his dad, "watch" baseball, eat junk food and follow around crazy cosmo, their alien mascot. They usually make it through about 4 innings, but they have a great time together and it gives me some quiet time at home. Every once in awhile I join them because it is pretty fun to watch his face light up and take it all in.

Before it gets too hot outside, the boys have also been playing some ball in the "backyard". Easton has improved so much, so I finally took a video tonight to show off his skills.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but nothing would make me happier than watching this cutie play high school baseball.

Cuteness. Love it.

If his baseball career doesn't work out, he could always fall back on singing.

Oh emily. this is too much!! I know I just saw him, but he's already bigger. Watching him swing the bat so well and hit those balls just really makes it hit me... he's going to grow up!! Seriously- he's good! I love that him and Steve get to share that together, that really is so special!

And his song was fabulous, especially the last high note. I love that child. I want to be at every high school game.

That's awesome! And how nice that father/son have already found a fun outing! Looks like he's already got some good skills - both batting and singing! :)

Back to watch my Easton sing again, oh and hit the ball. I love his little giggle when the ball goes up in the air. Tell him I have some cracker jacks in the cupboard, I'll save them for him. They are already pretty old though:)
