Carly is 2!

I begged her not to, but she did it anyway. She turned 2. I hate that she's growing up. Carly seems to have done everything earlier and faster than Easton did, so I feel like she has been grown up for so long already, but now it's official. I can't call her my baby anymore(but let's face it I will). She is so big and so cute.

We opened a few presents in the morning with Dad, and she was loving it. She got a new baby doll, and Easton gave her her own floaties so she wouldn't have to use his. She's loving the water lately.

She loved them! She also got her very own cape ("super") so she can play super heroes with Easton.

This is the smile we get when we get out the camera. She looks HUGE to me in this picture. Such a big girl.

We love you Carly!

My camera is partially broken and it was a miracle we got these pictures. I didn't get any pictures of all of her friends coming to sing to her at the pool today. It was so nice and they all spoiled her with baby dolls, dress ups and other fun toys. We have the sweetest friends, thanks everyone!!

About our Carly girl:

She loves her brother. She wants to do everything he does, but she has a funny way of showing her love. As in, she beats him up...often. She is the enforcer around here, and Easton would never hit back so he just takes it.

She still likes to snuggle with us and I take advantage of it. I know it won't be long before she won't want to anymore.

She still sucks her thumb and plays with her belly button.

She is happy, fun, spunky and crazy. I think the next couple years with her will be tougher on me than they were with Easton.

She talks up a storm; saying anything and everything. Some of my favorite sayings are:
* What's that for?
* Time out?
* Ahhh maaaaan
* Sorry Boy (she says this one a LOT, but it sounds more like," sawy booiiii".
* I love you

Her favorite foods are hot dogs, pizza, strawberries, pasta, lasagna, ice cream, cookies, fruit snacks...she is a way better eater than Easton.

I wanted to get her talking on video, but obviously can't because of the broken camera (have I said that enough? I'm dropping hints to my husband). And also, I wish I could show you all what she's doing right now. She has a new baby that cries for a second when you take the bottle out. Then she picks her up, pats her back and rocks her from side to side and whispers, "it's okay baby"...then sings twinkle twinkle little star to her. Cutest ever.

Ohhhhhhhh, that was the sweetest post. I can't wait to hear her say all those things and see her in action. It's awful being so far away! She sure is a cutie and we love her long distance. Hope you get a new camera soon, that is something you can't live without.

Seems like maybe one year ago I got to snuggle her in the night but not two. I think she is going to be a fun 2-3 year old:)

"it's ok baby" and then sings to her... KILL ME NOW THAT IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING I'VE EVER HEARD!!!! My heart is just melting!!!! I cannot believe how big she is emily. I cannot believe it. I love her so much. That picture of her and Easton is just so perfect. I want it framed. And her cape is without a doubt the greatest gift ever!!!

I am truly terrified of having children because there is no way they will be as cute as yours. And there is no way I'll be as hot of a mom as you! That picture of you and Carly is beautiful!

I'm so glad she had a fun day! Happy birthday baby girl. I LOVE YOU!

She is so beautiful! I love the pictures and that she sings twinkle twinkle to her baby! We really do need to get her and Audrey together more. Also I have an extra point and shoot camera that is pretty nice if you want to buy something fairly cheap, let me know :)

Sounds so cute, would love to see her taking care of her baby. Hard to believe that she is 2. Time is just flying by, as I am sure you are aware of too.

Easton is such a great big brother. I love the pic of Carly giving him a hug and kiss.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on your way to Oregon. Hope your drive is uneventful and we'll see you next week.
