Real Men Have Spit Up On Their Shirts

Three kids is so hard three kids is so hard three kids is so hard three kids is so hard...

...at least for me. I know several people who handle it beautifully, and handle more for that matter. I however, am struggling. So this is all you get. One of my favorite pictures from our recent (and AMAZINGLY therapeutic) trip to Bear Lake. One day I will return to my blog and have so much more to say. Promise.

Love this picture. It's beautiful. I can't imagine how hard 3 kids is. Seriously. I don't even like to think about it. I'm just trying to survive 1. So you give me hope that it can be done. Hang in there, sis. You're a wonderful mother. I love you!

If you got in a car and went somewhere with ALL YOUR KIDS, you're doing a lot better than you think. I wouldn't even do that with Scarlet until it was christmas and had to and have yet to do it since. I've heard 3 kids is the killer for lots of people. It seems the common numbers are 2 or 3 and after that it's gravy. You are definitely not the only one. And people are ALWAYS struggling more than we think they are. I'm sorry. It will pass and get better. Just hang in there. Just remember you're feeding them, you're not physically abusing them- it's all good and you're doing great. Too many people can't say that. 3 kids, 3 schedules- that is a lot of juggling and all with a baby that probably still keeps you up at night. AND the painful nursing? That just stinks. That would kill me. Seriously, I know you're doing so much better than you think you are. I LOVE THE PICTURE!!!! Ivy is such a cutie! She's chubby and I love it!!! Great pic of Steve too. Man, I haven't seen you guys in a long time. I should've come out with Scarlet before I got too pregnant- now it's too late! Oh well, some trip, some time. I LOVE YOU!!!! TAKE A BREAK and get away for a night.

Em, you are awesome and I know you're doing a great job even if it feels like you aren't! Hang in there. You're making me scared for two!! Haha! Love you tons.

I agree! Three is hard. For me it was way harder than two. But it does get better. When number three turns into a kid instead of being a baby it is much easier to handle. I hear after three it is all the same. I'm still not sure if I believe that, but I hope it is true. Cute picture!

That's not what I wanted to hear, Emily!! Someday I will have 3, probably more!! I am sure you are fantastic, you just don't give yourself the credit you deserve. Hang in there!

I am sorry you are struggling, but I have to say this is so refreshing to hear!!! I feel like crying at the end of just about everyday on my own and its only been a few days. Just getting a shower in is stressful! Doesn't help having a baby that is cranky and needs to be held 24/7 of course. Good news is, it does get easier the older the baby gets... at least that's what everyone keeps telling me! Hang in there! At least your kids are super cute :)

Love your title! It's the truth for sure and I love that photo. Sorry, this time in your life is so hard, I know you are hard on yourself at times, we think you are amazing for all you do!

Three kids IS so hard! I'm right there with you girl. Our plan has always been four, but after number three, I told Nick I was DONE. We're leaving it at that we'll wait several more years before we even worry about another one. I think it's especially hard because there are so many little ones who all need attention and help--exhausting and draining. And of course you play mind games with yourself. Like my Mother had six kids and I can't even handle three. I'm such a weak person. BUT, it does get better. A lot better. And you will get to a point where you sincerely enjoy your kids again and not feel guilty telling yourself that you SHOULD be enjoying this time in your life. So just hang in there and go easy on yourself girl!

You are such an awesome mom!

I remember how hard 3 kids were, all of a sudden you have run out of hands to keep control of them. You will do just fine and your kids will be all the better if you allow them to help you.

Love the picture of you sweet hubby and beautiful daughter. Just remember that you are a capable and terrific woman! Love ya and good luck!
