Dam Hot

We made it! It feels good to be reunited with Steve again. Easton and I drove down here with Steve's parents, who were kind enough to drive a moving van with all of our stuff once again, and get us moved in to our new place. Thanks a million! With the help of family and some good friends down here we were unloaded in no time and well on our way to calling this place home.

I must say I really do like this house. It's light and airy, open and clean. I hope that soon enough I can find my way around Las Vegas and feel more comfortable here.

Yesterday was our last day with Grandma and Grandpa, so we went to Hoover Dam for the afternoon. It's a way cool place. We took a dam tour led by some funny old guys who just love to squeeze in the word 'dam' before everything. They were hilarious. It was way super hot outside, which wasn't helped by the fact that we were standing on enough concrete to build a 2 lane highway from San Francisco all the way to NY. I learned that little fact yesterday on our dam tour.

So now it's just E and I at home...and now my open and airy house seems so empty and quiet with family gone, Steve at work and Easton asleep.

Here are a few more pictures of our day yesterday.

He loves to stick out his tongue these days.

Inside the dam where the generaters are...they were huge!

Up on the observation deck sweating bullets!

Here's my official "welcome to Vegas Baby"!!!! Wish I were there with you in your light airy quiet home. Salem's getting WAY old and I could use a change of scenery. Did I already tell you that? Sorry, I guess it's really weighing on me. Post pictures of your house even though things might not be how you want them yet. I'm dying to see it! And congrats for graduating from apartment life! Hooray!!!!

I had a bit of a scare. I couldn't find my camera after we unloaded everything...so the dam pictures are from my mother in law's camera. But no worries, I found it, so I'll post pictures soon.

I never knew the dam could be so fun. Looks like good sweaty times. Ok, I thought the in-laws would be staying longer so that is why I was leaving you alone...but if they are gone I am ready to play! So glad that you are here now!

Love the family picture at the Dam, tell Lani I need a copy of that one. Did you know Gpa Jolley helped build the Dam? I need to find out the details about that but Dad feels sure about it.
Love you all, miss you all.
Kiss my boy a million times.

Oh my gosh, does he have to take the Nevada bar now! That is horrible! But everything else is of course great! That just popped in my head. Sorry Steve.
