Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving just happens to be my favorite holiday. I think it comes from the super fun traditions we had growing up as a family. Plus the idea that there is an entire day that is dedicated to eating and sleeping is a bonus. Don't worry, I love Christmas and all those other fun holidays, but Thanksgiving has just always held a special place in my heart. Family, football, food, friends...I think it's purely coincidental that all those things start with an 'f'. Although the days of being lazy while the moms cook dinner, and sitting at the kids table are over (finally, after about 18 years I got to go to the adult table...our families are really big), there is still a lot to be happy about. This year will be our first Thanksgiving with no family. Part of me is very sad about that, because I love spending this day with them, but part of me is excited for a new experience. We will be here with good friends, and even though I have to prepare some of the food this time...hopefully it will still be good.

So, since it's that time of year for us to reflect on all the things we are thankful for, here goes:

* my family (Steve, Easton, and everyone else!)
* the church
* my testimony
* my health
* great friends
* baby motrin
* tv
* sunshine
* rain
* yumm-o food
* cookies, and lots of other treats
* blogging
* and lots of other things that I can't think of right now

What are you thankful for? I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!

You just had to say "Yum-O" didn't you? That is a good list, especially Children's Motrin. I also added Paci's and Baby Einstein. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving - there really is so much to be thankful for!

Thanksgiving is definately in my top three of favorite holidays! I am thankful for reconnecting with old friends!! Oh...and by the way, I signed up for a little cooking this year to, pumpkin pie and rolls...I bought both from costco! However, it was hard work, there were some mean crazy mommas out there trying to get all the pies!! Have a great thanksgiving!!

My favorite thing about the holidays in general is being with family. No family for us for Thanksgiving, but at least we will have our baby and my parents will be here for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving!

When Steve text me last night and said he had a 5 day weekend I was secretly hoping you guys would make the long trek up to Idaho and surprise us all...but my hopes and dreams are all in vain! Man I miss you guys sooooo much! I am thankful that you finally got to post!

I'm also especially thankful for my family. :o) This will be our second Thanksgiving without family but our first making the whole dinner. Last year we were invited over to the bishop's house so we didn't have to worry at all about turkey and stuff...just easy things like rolls and mashed potatoes. But we're also excited for a new experience! :o) Happy Thanksgiving!
