Carnation Instant Breakfast

Easton with the little girl I watch. He is so nice to her and loves it when she comes over.
He always wants to sit by her, and I thought this pic was cute.

Easton had his 18 month check up the other day. I just wanted to document his stats...mostly so I can have it recorded for later. He weighs around 25 lbs...we couldn't really tell for sure because he is deathly afraid of the scale and was screaming and holding onto me for dear life. And he is around 32.5 inches long...we couldn't really tell because he is deathly afraid of the long table with the paper on it. He has grown 2 inches since his last check up though! We have been lucky and he hasn't been sick very much...just a healthy kid I guess. He says lots of words...my favorites are thank you, grapes (psees), hello and bye bye. He eats tomatoes and grapes; and every once in awhile something else.

He got shots, which he hated of course and screamed the whole time. I had to hold him down and it made me really sad. Plus the nurse who did it wasn't the nicest. After it was all done he calmed down and happily ate his fruit snacks. The nurse came back in and said, " Here is a breakfast drink for him that he might like." Sure, whatever lady. I've heard of getting suckers at the dr, but not carnation instant breakfast. Maybe that is what they give to the bad kids.

Gosh he is so cute! Well I bet that nurse not being very nice with the shots makes you miss Dr. Hemsley and Carrie huh? I love them!

So does he like the drink? That is pretty funny. You'll have to tell us if he actually eats it!

He talks so good! It was fun sitting near you at church last week and hearing say little things, he seems too little to talk.

That picture of them is so cute!!!
Carnation Instant Breakfast. For real?? That is so random. So did he like it???

That is a cute picture-Easton is so adorable. That is crazy that the doctor gave you a carnation instant breakfast drink-I have never heard of that before. Doctors are no fun for the little kids and especially with shot. I am sure Easton was so brave (and mom too).

She gave you carnation instant breakfast? I'm so confused. Why? That seems like something they'd give the little babies who need to put some more meat on their bones. Like Ben.

He really is the cutest boy. When we got back from Vegas we were talking about all the cute kids and John was like, "That Easton has an arm on him. Did you see him throw the ball?" I think he was jealous of your 18 month old.

That is so funny! A breakfast drink, given at the doc's to an 18 month old?! FUNNY stuff!!! And don't worry, he's a good kid! I mean, who WOULD like being pricked with long needles and forced to ly down on a table covered in noisy, crinkly paper?! Oh the joys of the doctor's office.....ugh!

And CUTE little buddy picture of E and that sweet little girl! Sometimes I wish Cade had a weekly buddy to play with. Where's E when we need him???

Maybe next time they will give him a Slim Fast shake.

Em, that picture of Easton and Claire is so cute! I love your description of the Dr. visit. Except that I totally feel your pain and his, cause Nathan is the same way. Nathan's so traumatized that he starts screaming as soon as we walk into the office.

He likes tomatoes? That is incredible to me. Thomas is going through the stage where he has learned how to spit out food whether or not he has loved it in the past.

Unless it's candy or a dessert item. He knows not to spit that out. He got those genes from me.

In reference to one of your lists of why you suck, how you copy people, I got on here to make a comment and Ilene had already made it. Hee. So now I'm going to copy it. The first thing I thought of when I read this post about Easton was "he likes tomatoes?" It's maybe the one food I really want my boys (and my husband for that matter) to like. I mean, it's good for their prostates, right? So, Ilene--we think alike. Or at least we have the same boys. And Emily--your cute little boy is going to have the healthiest prostate around.

Ok, that is just strange that she gave him carnation instant breakfast. It is like they ran out of suckers and she grabbed something out of her lunch. I love the pic of Easton and Claire. He is such a cutie and I love that he and Emery are such cute friends.

LOL....I can't even believe they gave him one of those as a reward......what a joke! Where is the candy, hello? For being so good, you get a health drink, sorry, we were out of V8. Wow, Now I'm even more excited to come back ! I don't know if that made sense through the computer.

I'm sorry the nurse wasn't that nice, that's the pits. I love when nurses are overly nice and pamper you.

Nurses like that upset me. Hello you work with children, would it kill you to smile?!
Did he drink the Carnation Instant Braekfast?
Hope you have fun with your family this week. I love having family visit. :)

What kid likes going to the doctor? And really, they should only have the nicest nurses work at pediatrician's offices. Anyway, cute little guy!

hhahahaha!! no wonder easton cried- I'd cry too if I got a carnation instant breakfast after the doctor... what a crock!!!

Woo hoo! We got a shoutout on the blog. Cute pic! Would you email it to me?

Yeah, that's psycho. Nurses who give shots should be the sweetest! Sheesh! I can't believe Easton eats tomatoes, too, since you detest them. Grown 2.5 inches? That's incredible! And Joseph was deathly afraid of the scale and doctor too. He still won't talk to his doctor.

Did you try to give him the drink? Did he like it? I am a little surprised about a breakfast drink at a dr office. Maybe she ate all the suckers for breakfast and gave him the drink she was suppose to have had!
