3

3 Joys

1. My little man.
2. Having cookies in my house. I’m not fun to be around when I want cookies and don’t have any.
3. When the blinker trick works.

3 Fears

1. Having another kid.
2. This one is the same as Liz’s. I am absolutely terrified of someone breaking into my house. The thought of a stranger being here while my family is sleeping totally creeps me out. Steve takes Tylenol pm, sleeps with the fan on full blast, and uses headphones, so he is no good to me if someone breaks in…he won’t even hear.

3. Screwing up my kids because I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to parenting!

3 Goals

1. Get into shape...I have never been so out of shape before and I hate it so much! I’m sore after playing church volleyball, or baseball on the Wii.

2. Make my house not look so much like a hospital…bare and white. I need some cheap, cute decorating ideas!
3. Learn to make more salads. It’s something I’m not very good at, and it’s just too hot to use the oven every day.

3 Current Obsessions

1. Right now I’m trying to teach myself my way around photoshop. I wouldn’t really consider it an obsession, just something I have spent a lot of time on lately. I’m either too poor or too lazy to actually take a class to show me how to use it.
2. Cake decorating! I actually got inspired by an enrichment activity, after 8 long years. I’m taking a class now and trying to learn some things. The problem is, I really thought it would be something I could be good at…you know, a hidden talent. Turns out I just had a big head. I’m really not that good. It’s fun though.

3. Blogging is always an obsession…I’m addicted.

3 Surprising Facts About Me

1. I absolutely cannot handle being late for church (or other people being late). We were late today and it about killed me. I’m a very on time person, and I like to be on time to everything, but for some reason it bugs me the most when people are late for church. How hard is it?! I know, I know, I’ll eat my words someday…and now everyone is going to give me crap if I’m ever late for anything.
2. I love big cities and big crowds. It seems like normally it’s a big stress for people, but I like all the excitement that comes with it. Sure I have my moments where it gets to me, but for the most part, I enjoy it.
3. I have never had a pedicure. I didn’t really think this was a big deal, but the last few people I have told this to thought it was crazy. Never been a huge fan of feet.

the splendid life of us... said...

I agree on the late to church thing! We were late to church the first sunday after we were married and Bryce said that it will never happen again. And 7 years later we have never been late. This is due to the fact that we always strive to leave 1/2 hour early and if we leave later than that then we feel we are late. (wow that was long sorry!) I always love learning new things about you!

I support your cookie habit, agree about being late to church (except our church always starts late-it drives me nuts), and with Shawn gone a lot I too fear someone breaking into my house-thank goodness for the trusty alarm system. It really makes me feel soooo much better! Seriously, you need to get a pedicure-they make you feel like a million bucks if you go to the right place!

You and Brian about the being late to church. I will try harder. I love that you love cookies as much as me and I am sure your cake decorating is better and will get better than you give yourself credit for. I never heard of the blinker trick and I love it. Lets get a pedicure this week - I am determined to get one before this baby comes.

that was fun to read. I just updated my blog so my 3's will have to wait a few days until I get enough energy to blog again. But thanks for the tag. FUN! :)

THat was fun. Pedicures are the best. I'm ALWAYS late for church. It's the only thing I'm late for. I've been on time MAYBE 5-6 times since i've been married. good thing we're not in the same ward.

I took LeAnn for a pedicure for her birthday and it was sure nice. Our feetlook so good I hate to cover them with shoes:)
It's not fun to do alone, that is just my opinion but I say take a friend the first time and pick a good place.

I think I am going to go make cookies, we finally finished all the monster cookies, they were delicious!

Still waiting for the video of Easton talking.

Ok, so you probably HATE us cause we're never on time for church! I hate it, but we just cannot seem to get our butts there on time! We ARE going to get a PEDICURE! I want one so bad and you will LOVE it!!!

I'm so pumped to try the blinker trick. Also, I've never had a pedicure either. Once I heard a news story about people getting fungal diseases on their feet because the salons don't clean the tools and foot spas. That was enough for me and I think I'll stick to painting my own toenails. Thanks for the THREES.

I'm with you on the being late for church thing! My husband and I talk about this just about every sunday when people come strolling is like we were waiting for them to arrive. Don't people go to work during the week and have to be there MUCH earlier than 9am?? Don't moms have to get their kids up and ready for school by 8am?? Hello???

I am so excited to hear how you like the Host! I LOVED it.

Okay, Brianne it is a good thing you aren't in our 9am ward. We have been on time twice since we have moved. It is classy.

You do make a great cookie.

Having a second baby is WAY more fun than the first time around. Falling in love all over again is the BEST.

Hmmm Ilene, I don't know if I have ever heard anyone put it like that...I can understand that. Thanks!

I am still catching up on your blog so I just read your 3 tag.

Trust me...baby number 2 is actually easier than baby number 1. The hardest part is getting preganant knowing you have to deliver a baby again. But, I have a rememdy for that to...it's called denial. I just ignore that fact until I'm in the hospital and then you just need to repeat this matra to yourself: "Ask Early. Ask Often!" I'm talking about drugs. Keep asking. Cry if you need to...that really worked with Lauren. Drugs make everything better. Oh my that sounds bad...

Also, baby 2 watches baby 1 so if you leave the room. Baby 2 doesn't even notice. Plus...you'll be so busy with baby 1 that when you lay baby 2 down to sleep, you won't hear him as loudly (which will help you give him a minute to go to sleep). ☺ See, so now you can get pregnant again. You're Welcome!

Anyway, moving on I LOVED Chelsea and Mark last night too!!!!!!! Oh my. I rewatched it three times. But, I also still love Joshua and Katee...although I could have done without seeing his dad's behind.

And, I was loving me some Twitch and Kherington too! Oddly (don't shoot me) I actually enjoy Mary. But, I could do without Mia Michaels meanness and sometimes Nigel's too.
