Easton's 2 and Time Out

I love 2 year olds, I am just sad that I have one. I want him to be 1 forever! He was thoroughly spoiled by grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends. Thanks everybody for making the day special for my little guy! Steve totally outdid me and got Easton all hooked up with the correct baseball gear including glove, ball, tee, bat and white sox hat. He looks like a tiny bat boy and I love it more than anything. I don't deny that I will do whatever it takes to make my kid play baseball.Instead of birthday cake on his actual birthday, he got a birthday slurpee. I had volleyball games clear across town so that's all we had time for. Plus he enjoyed the slurpee way more than he would have a cake anyway.

We had his favorite friends over for cake on Saturday. He had fun playing with them but didn't touch the cake. How is he my child? I'm sad but I didn't get any pics of the kids playing...but you've seen all of them anyway.

Saturday also was Time Out For Women and I was able to get a ticket at the last minute, so Steve was nice enough to watch Easton all day and clean the house so that I wouldn't be stressed and in a hurry when it came time for Easton's friends to come over. Nice, huh?

TOFW isn't actually at the yummy Potato Valley...but it should be! This is where we came for our lunch break( and the waitress was so nice...she brought us FREE cookies before we left!). Shannon, Kara, Melinda, Rachel and I had a great time hanging out and hearing good speakers and good(ish) music.

I don't think you are going to have to try too hard to make him play baseball. He seemed to love all the gear!

Easton is so cute. Like many have said, you are just so beautiful! I really like your hair in the time out pic. You made me laugh when you said, "good(ish) music". I want to go to one of those some day. They sound great! Isn't it great when husbands do nice things like that? I always make sure I make a HUGE deal to Clay about it when he does something like that in hopes that it becomes a regular habit...I don't think it does much though:)!

I can't believe it. And I see what you're saying about him looking like Joseph! What a cutie. The Jolley in them is shining through. I'm embarrassed that our present is so stinking late. I hate babies getting older.

I'm totally jealous that you went to TOFW. That's on my list of things to do.

Happy birthday to Easton! And don't feel bad about working hard to make your kid into a baseball star. John and all his family have that same goal for Ben. I wish we lived by each other so we could sign them up for t-ball together. How cute would that be? I might even go to a game once in a while...

Those are some adorable birthday photos and it looks like he made a good haul as well he should. This is going to be a fun year with him talking and doing so many fun things. Although my two year olds here are driving me crazy today saying "why" to everything I say:) But at least they talk and you know what they want instead of crying, right?

I'm so glad you went to Time Out, lucky! I am a big fan.

Hugs and kisses to the Birthday Boy! love you all!

Mmm... a birthday slurpee. That's creative! Glad to see he got his cake later. I can't believe he's already 2. I remember when you had just had him - I think you brought him to Steph's baby shower at Christi's house. That seems like sooo long ago, but at the same time like it was just last year. Time flies.
So if your kid does baseball, and not soccer, are you a 'baseball mom' instead of a 'soccer mom'? I've never really heard the term for any other sport!
