Stuck Inside

Well, within 48 hours of being home from Idaho, Easton had a cold, pink eye, diarrhea, and an ear infection. I just had a cold, and Carly, feeling left out decided to have a fever. All was fun at our house. I strongly dislike pink eye. I have never washed my hands so much in my life and I'm still paranoid that everyone is going to get it. So we didn't leave our house for 4 days (except to go to the dr).

Easton is feeling much better and was finally able to go to school. He loves school so much and was so sad to miss almost a whole month between christmas break, trip to Idaho and sickness. Have I mentioned how awesome his teacher is? She did a make-up class just for him to get him caught up the day after we got home, and then while he was sick, she came to visit and brought him all the fun stuff he had missed at school that day. We love her.

Today was his first day back at school and I was so excited to get to the grocery store and de-germ my house. But then Carly woke up with pink eye. So now we are home again. This week we have watched a lot of tv, read lots of books, taken lots of naps, germified all of our toys, and thrown many a tantrums (and by we, I mean all 3 of us).

Easton got to pick a treasure out of the treasure box at school today, and thank goodness, because his little prize provided our pre-nap entertainment today. A finger puppet; and he really wanted to do a puppet show. So we did. Here is the show. I'm the parasaurolophus, and Easton is the monster puppet.
Riveted. She didn't know when she woke up this morning that she was going to have front row seats to a dinosaur/monster puppet show.

Everyone came out to watch.

Can you tell that we are bored around here?

In other news; Carly is a talking machine. She spits out new words and phrases every day and I love it. She's getting way too big. This video is just a few of her words in her cutest little voice. Never mind her dry skin, bruised forehead and goopy eye...like I said, it has been a rough week.

How is she getting so big and talking so much? I can't believe it! Yeah, hurry up and be healthy because we miss you guys. At least you got all the sickness out in 4 days. Now you should be done for at least another year, right?

Being sick is so sucky. Carly is not, she is adorable! I really don't think Jake will ever say that many words. He's just points and grunts and like a good mommy, I fetch.

Hope you guys feel better soon!

isn't it fun to be a mom? whenever my kids get sick like that, i'm just glad i don't work, because what a hassle to have to rearrange life and call bosses and things. as boring as it is to stay home, at least it is us staying home with them while they're miserable instead of a babysitter or something.

OK, the puppet show with all the dinosaurs lined up to watch is AWESOME!! And Carly has to be the cutest 18 month old ever! I love how good she talks! Why can't Jackson talk like that? All he does is scream and throw fits. I can't stand it! I'm so sorry this has been a crappy week. I hope this all gets over soon so we can play again.

CUUUTE video!! Your kids are so adorable. I hope the pink eye disappears soon. We've been through it twice. Luckily it was kept to one person each time.

Thanks for that! She is so adoraable, I kept waiting for the camera to go over on Easton too so I could see his cute face. Her words are adorable and I'm in a much happier mood after your blog. I was so bummed about the tickets being so expensive right now. She has changed so much since you were here and I want to hear from Easton all about what he has learned at school, I'm sure glad you hooked up with that great teacher.

Glad to hear everyone is on the mend and hope that is it for awhile.
Love and miss you all!
