And He Loves It!

We have had a great first week of school! I love seeing everyone's first day of school pics, it's just such an exciting time! Easton barely lets me slow the car down before he hops out and runs across the street into his class. It's awesome. But so far, all I know about kindergarten is that he practices his letters every day (and I only know this because there is evidence in the form of a worksheet), and he sits at the red table. That's it. This kid won't give me anything! I grill him every day and he tells me nothing. He says he forgot.

He's happy to have a friend in his class...look how cute they are!!!

Carly and I have been enjoying our one on one time. She has done pretty good, although I know she misses him. She plays with her babies and her tea set and it has been really different for me to watch a girl play. When Easton is home she joins in and plays bad guys and dinosaurs.
We love school (although I'm not sure why since I don't really know what they do there...)!!

My little Ethan is the same!
-"What did you do today?"
-"I don't know. I can't remember."
Uggghhh! Don't they know we want EVERY detail?

I have no clue what they do either!!! I have to pry out any info. How do they not remember? I am so glad that they are in the same class!
I love that Carly is playing with the babies and tea set, but that she still will play with Easton. So cute!!

That's awesome that he loves it! When I used to ask Jackson what he learned at school he would always reply, "EVERYTHING!" and that was it. I heard from a grade school teacher that it is typical for boys not to give much information to their parents but that girls come home and tell their parents every detail. I just thought that was interesting. I think your kids are so cute!

I've been waiting for this post for a week!! I'm so glad Nathan's not the only kid with short-term memory loss! He gives me NOTHING!! I even ask him when I drop him off "please remember something you did at school today so you can tell me"! Still, NOTHING! I can't wait till open house so I can see more. Wish I could go with him every day and be a fly on the wall.

YAY for school! Emery isn't much better and when I do get her to tell me stuff she doesn't seem to make much sense.

I love that pic of Reagan and her arm around Easton. How fun for them to be in class together.

Britt and Ally talk my ear off as soon as they walk in the door, Jay simple says "hi mom!" I used to try to get more out of him, but gave up. When Jay does share, I drop everything and REALLY listen because I know it's important!

Ha! Well, I'm wondering if that's life with boys . . . I mean, what's there to say, right? Very funny.

So cute! What a big boy! I can't get much out of Mac either when I ask him. But gradually through out the day he will tell me bits and pieces on his own.

Yay! So glad all is well in Kindergarten, even though you know nothing about it. Joseph was the same way. It seems like it took him a long time to be able to think through his day and tell me things that happened. Before last year he couldn't answer the question, "What was something fun you did today?"

He is one adorable kindergartner. His girly friend too!
